The sunken Walter Scott

What Happened:
In the Adventure of the Walter Scott, Huck decides that he wants to go on a romantic adventure onto a steamboat named the Sir Walter Scott. Huck wants to do this because it is something that Tom Sawyer would do and he wants to loot the boat. Jim on the otherhand does not want to do this because he is afraid it might lead to him being caught, but in the end Huck pressures him into it. Once on the boat, they overhear two robbers threatening to kill someone because they are afraid he will tell on them. They are about to kill him but feel bad about directly killing him so they decide to just let him drown. Huck looks for Jim because he wants to leave the boat, and when he finds him he hears the raft has drifted away. They steal their boat and catch up to their raft. Jim goes onto the raft while Huck leave to get help for the murderers.

Modern Day Example
When Jim and Huck encounter the murders on the boat, that is similar to when a person goes into a bank not suspecting much and suddenly robbers charge in to steal money and it is frightening. This is like Huck and Jim's situation on the steamboat because they went on the boat suspecting it to be abonded, but were surprised to find not only other people on it, but robbers. If i was in the bank, I would have the same thought process as Huck did when he was on the boat. First I would try to stay out of the way of the robbers and then try to do the right thing and try to bring them to justice, but I would escape from the bad situation the firs chance I got.
