Because of the advancements in technology, decices can give a person directions to just about anywhere in the world. These tecnnological devices give great directions and helps prevent people from getting lost, like Huck and Jim did on the way to Cario.
What Occurred
When Huck and Jim ask the man for directions, they find out that they had already passed Cairo. They passed Cairo the night in the fog and it was too late to turn around.
